Course of Care

On your first visit to Studer Chiropractic, you can expect to spend approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour with our team. Prior to your first visit, you will have the opportunity to print and fill out our "New Patient visit forms" to save time in the office. We will also have the same health history forms available at check-in for your visit if necessary.

During your Consultation, we will listen to your health concerns and discuss your goals.

In your Examination, we will be investigating exactly where the problems/subluxations are that are causing your health concerns. We will perform a skin temperature test called a Nervo-scope or Temp-o-scope. This instrument gives readings which show the asymmetries between one side of the spine to the other. Pinpointing these differences can indicate where the nerve is being irritated. This instrument feels like someone is gently dragging one finger down each side of your spine and most people love it. This is an important step of the Gonstead chiropractor in locating the root cause of your health concerns.

To further focus in on your problem areas, Dr April will be using static and motion palpation. This includes feeling your spine for the presence of swelling, tenderness, tension, ropy muscles or other changes to the tissues. Next Dr. April will feel how easily or how difficult each segment of your spine moves and bends. As you can imagine, bones stuck and not moving in a balanced way will cause imbalances elsewhere in the body and can also contribute to the amount of decay, nerve pressure, and arthritis you develop. Your Gonstead chiropractor is skilled to evaluate your posture, range of motion, and gait as well as perform any necessary tests related to your spine or extremities of concern.

The findings of your examination and testing will direct Dr. April to recommend the X-rays necessary for your individual case.
Once the x-rays have been taken you will be scheduled for your Report/Second visit.
