Chiropractic care is among the safest healthcare options available. The risk of experiencing an injury or complication from a chiropractic adjustment is comparable to the likelihood of everyday activities, such as turning your head while driving or sleeping in an awkward position. It is widely recognized as one of the safest forms of healthcare.

At our clinic, every client undergoes a thorough examination, including neurological, muscular, skeletal, and functional assessments. If chiropractic care is deemed unsuitable for your condition, we will ensure you receive an appropriate referral to address your needs effectively. Your health and safety are always our top priorities.

Does my insurance cover chiropractic care?

Insurance coverage varies from policy to policy. Many insurance plans cover or partially cover chiropractic care. Before beginning treatment, the doctor will review your insurance coverage with you personally, ensuring you can make informed decisions about your healthcare.

Studer Chiropractic, P.C. is an in-network provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield and Medicare. Patients with other insurance plans are responsible for payment at the time of service but can file for direct reimbursement from their insurance providers.

To address individual needs, many employers offer flexible spending plans or Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), which can be easily utilized at our clinic. Additionally, we provide affordable cash rates and family discounts, ensuring chiropractic care is accessible for everyone.

We believe chiropractic care is essential for everyone. Just like visiting your dentist or maintaining your car, regular wellness check-ups are vital for keeping your spine healthy. Our daily routines place significant demands on our bodies, making it crucial to ensure they function properly and that the nervous system remains free from irritation to support overall health. At Studer Chiropractic, P.C., our chiropractors have advanced training in caring for pregnant women, infants, and children and take pride in treating every member of the family.

Chiropractors address far more than just back pain. We can assist with issues throughout the spine and extremities, including knees, ankles, shoulders, elbows, wrists, and even the jaw. Additionally, chiropractic care can help with various conditions such as constipation, immune function, sinus problems, digestion, heartburn, dizziness, and fatigue. For more information, refer to our ‘commonly treated conditions’ page.

For example, if you’re experiencing heartburn, it could be due to stomach acid leaking where it shouldn’t. Chiropractors investigate potential nerve irritation in the area controlling the stomach, often located between the shoulder blades. If misaligned joints are found, adjustments can relieve nerve irritation, restore proper stomach function, and even alleviate pain between the shoulder blades.

If your condition falls outside the scope of chiropractic care, we will ensure you receive an appropriate referral for treatment. Your health is our priority!

Chiropractic adjustments are designed to be gentle and should not cause pain. Chiropractors use the minimum amount of force necessary to achieve effective results. However, some mild discomfort may occasionally occur after initial adjustments as the body adapts to the new alignment and movement of the bones. This sensitivity is often due to pre-existing irritation in the affected area. Any discomfort experienced is typically minimal and temporary, subsiding as the body adjusts to the treatment.

The sound you hear during an adjustment is caused by gas or pressure being released from the joints—it’s definitely not your bones cracking! It’s similar to the sound you get when opening a can of soda or unsealing a jar of pickles.

This is an excellent opportunity for a spouse or parent to accompany you and provide support on your path to better health. Typically, your first treatment will take place at the end of this second appointment.
